Description

Step into the boots of a fledgling Riftstrider and prove your worth across shifting dimensions, where timing, memory, and critical thinking are your greatest weapons — accompanied by your faithful Rift Mask companion.

Master the art of dimension-swapping: Use your dagger to shatter emerging rift crystals and your Rift Mask to peer into a world parallel to your own. These are your key tools to overcome platforming challenges with precision and quick thinking.

Learn as you go: Each level is designed to teach you, the player, the key skills needed for the final showdown.

Death and Time Counters: Your total time and death count will be displayed at the end of the game. Let’s see who’s the fastest and most efficient acolyte Riftstrider to complete the trial! (Feel free to share your ending stats in the comments!)

Estimated Playtime: ~5–10 minutes.

This project is my entry to Godot Wild Jam #86.

Theme:

How I used the theme: The Rift Mask is central to both the story and gameplay, letting the player swap between dimensions. I also played with collision masks and "render masks" in Godot to reflect the idea of switching “layers” of reality.

Wildcard(s) I used:

How it was used: The Rift Mask is a sentient artifact that acts as a helpful companion, guiding the player through each challenge.
